The strongest man contest needs to be in the main ring. We watched it in 2019 it was so popular it was difficult to see all the action as ring side was not big enough. The main ring would be so much better the best thing we saw in 2019 at North summerset show. Come on organisers lets make this happen
Thanks for your message and kind words :). This has been echoed by many and North Somerset Show have tried their best to give us more space and allow more people to watch. 2019 was our first-ever show, so I don’t think North Somerset Show knew quite how carried away we’d get and how popular it would turn out, which is of course a good thing for all concerned. We are all pleased that it was so popular.
I’ve just been down to the showgrounds to check the setup. We are in the same area with the same sized ring, as before; however, I’ve asked that large bales be placed around the ring and additional seating be provided, plus, the immediate trade stands have been removed. This should allow more people to watch 🙂 . Two of the events will also be held in the Main Ring – the Avril’s Sack Race at 10:30am and the Advantage4Vans Trotter Van Deadlift at 2:30pm.
